And he jokes about it and doesn't complain!

P.S. He better know he married a good woman when...

instead of watching her cheerleading movie she's been excited for weeks about, she watches a zombie movie with him!

P.S.S. Yes, I realized any coolness points I may have had before, are completely gone now after admitting I LOVE all Bring it On movies!!! They just make me so happy inside:)

Making Memories

Our Little Jaguar!

It's official. Our little P-girl is now a Kindergartner. She was so excited on Tuesday when it was finally time to go!
The little one had no idea what was happening but is always eager for a picture op.

She picked out her own outfit the night before and was so excited to actually use her Princess backpack!

We can walk to our school in under 15 minutes.

She went right in and was so happy.

It's now the end of the week, and she still loves it.

We're to proud of you, P!!!

We Survived

When Brent and I got married seven years ago, we got some camping equipment. The only time we used it was for a short camping trip with both our familes shortly after we got married... until now!!

We committed and packed up and went camping this past week at Big Sur.
Within minutes of being there, this is what the little one looked like.

Not to be out done, the older one quickly followed suit.

They really had such a good time being dirty and outside the whole time.

Here are all the kiddos, minus one sweet three-month-old after getting into a nearby river.

Not too far away, there was the beach.

The boys contemplating going into the freezing cold water.

They never did...

But the girls sure did!!!

And you can't go to the beach without being buried in the sand!!!

We had such a good time and we are looking forward to going again next year!

We took them just in time because this week she has the dreaded pink eye!!!

Second

Last weekend was the second annual Alzheimer's Aide Society 5k Run.
My father-in-law is large and in charge, so it's become quite the family affair.
What a difference a year makes.
They have a kids' fun run and last year, the oldest didn't do so well and Brent ended up running with her for moral support.
This year...

from the get-go she had her game face on. When I saw her, I knew she was going to be good.

This is her finishing strong. She came in running all by herself and in fifth place!!!

As for my portion of the run...

Oh, man, I was so confident. I had been doing the eliptical at the gym because of a hip injury, but I was confident. I had two goals... one to come in under 30 minutes, and to beat Brent... I failed at both.

Afterwards, a new family tradition started... family picnic at a nearby park.

Brent can sure heat up any picture

and I can cheer him on!!
